1967 Academy Awards

Robert Zemeckis' THE POLAR EXPRESS was released in theaters on this day 20 years ago. It was the first feature-length film created entirely with motion capture technology. Tom Hanks voiced and performed motion capture for seven characters in the film: the Conductor, Hero Boy (adult voice), Santa Claus, the Hobo, Hero Boy's father, the Ebenezer Scrooge puppet, and the Narrator.
