Protecting the world’s smallest hippo 🦛 Pygmy hippos are the last of their kind, as sadly both a Nigerian and Madagascan subspecies has already gone extinct. But we're working hard to ensure this little hippo can recover. Our work with breeding pair Thug and Amara at the Zoo provides new understanding into their behaviour and biology.
