A cenote in its most simplistic definition is a natural sinkhole created from the collapse of limestone, exposing groundwater. And while that doesn’t sound very exciting, they can be absolutely beautiful. Which is why visiting a cenote is one of the most popular things to do in the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico where they’re commonly found. This was incredible. It’s called a “Cenote”. (A large sinkhole or cave that exposes ground water ). There are many in Mexico. Our friend @pablocesart brought us to a secluded one so that we could spend more time exploring and meditate 🤯 Trees can’t grow high above Cenotes because the roots can’t grow deep but they find a way to work together and form root pillars in cave.
