How to create a four strand braid in macrame: 1. Start with a multiple of 4 cords hanging down. In this case I used 8. 2. Cross the 2nd set of cords over the 1st set, and the 4th set of cords over the 3rd set. 3. Now take the new 2nd set of cords across (the turquoise) and bring them in front of the 3rd set. 4.
