Tis the season to pick all those plums growing off our tree. We have three different varieties. They seem to pop at different times in the summer. I think the best way to prepare these is just to stew them in a little bit of water over the stove. This batch didn't even need any sugar. I put them down to reduce the water and thicken them up. Put them in a few mason jars and then boil them to sterilize. It never seems to last long whether it's just out of the jar or spooned over vanilla ice cream.
